SKILLS:

I'm experienced at working to tight deadlines and am fully trained in ENPS, Radioman, Quick Edit Pro, Adobe Audition, BURLI, Wordpress, Final Cut Pro and have a distinction grade in media law.

I'm a hard-working and proactive person who enjoys being thrown in at the deep end. I'm always looking for creative angles on stories and am confident in reporting on a wide range of issues ensuring I remain professional and handle each situation appropriately.


I get on well with people and know how to get the best from my interviewees. I can write quickly and accurately for online pieces and bulletins.


EXPERIENCE:


Recently graduated from the London College of Communication where I obtained a postgraduate diploma in Broadcast Journalism (BJTC accredited).

I've had experience of working in commercial and BBC newsrooms including BBC Radio 1, BBC Derby, Sky News Radio and Time FM as a freelance newsreader and reporter.

Have worked on general news output covering a broad range of stories including protests, interviews with MPs on the housing crisis in the South East and have reported on a wide range of local issues to do with crime and the environment.


Recently I have provided live coverage from a protest in Slough and have put together feature-style packages for the Breakfast Show at BBC Derby, you can listen to my work here.


I have covered an event in Windsor to mark the Queen celebrating British Film at the Guildhall and have reported live from Southwark Crown court during the Vicky Pryce case. I have also provided reports for news bulletins across BBC Derby and Time FM. 



BACKGROUND:

I graduated from Nottingham University in 2012 with a First Class Honours in English. At university I was heavily involved with student radio and regularly presented and reported for its news programme 'The Pulse'.
